Curatorial Abstract

Measure the shelf before you buy—1:200 and 1:400 need different clearances for wings.

A 1:200 widebody needs roughly 30–40 cm of clear depth once the stand is included. A 1:400 piece often fits where a keyboard tray used to live.

Measure twice. Wingspan, not fuselage length, usually decides whether a model fits a shallow bookshelf.

When space is tight, our Islamabad desk can suggest a 1:400 fleet layout that still looks intentional.
